Battle of the Brews in Preston! USA Craft Beer Versus British Traditionals
With the explosion of craft beers on the market
It seems that every time you turn around these days, another craft beer bar has opened or a new microbrewery has been set up. With traditionals like Coniston, Shepherd Neame, Martson's now rivalled by Lancashire-based Lancaster Brewery, Moorhouses, OSB, Lytham Brewery and others outside the county.. the craft beer movement is buzzing at the moment! Tonight we will taste some of these modern beers from the USA against the similar style traditional beers which inspired the craft movement in the first place. The ultimate battle of the brews: who will win the young crafty upstarts or the old school ales?
This evening is the perfect introduction to craft beer for those who haven't yet ventured in to that hoppy heaven yet, it is also a great evening for craft beer enthusiasts to learn a little more about the origins of the beers they love. We will taste beers from local and national breweries comparing a pair of pale ales, a pair of fruity wheat beers, a pair of spicy ruby beers and a pair of dark, malty stouts. So book your place for an evening that is sure to provoke plenty of lively debate. Craft Beer or Real Ale? You decide!
As usual, crisps, nuts and traditional British Sausages to nibble with the beers.
4 Pairs of Beers in All, that's 8 beers to taste!
