Atrium Wine Blind Tasting Challenge

 informal blind tasting challenge.  A selection of 4 x reds and 4 x whites, all served ‘blind’ competitive edge (guess the grape etc – from descriptions provided).   The aim is for people to organize into teams of 4 or 5 each for the competition.

 The price is £90 plus 20 people at £18 per person totaling £450. 

The wines used will range from c£5 to c£15 retail and guessing the price will be an additional competitive element. Most of the wines will be widely available if people want to buy them after the event  - although I do not sell wine I like to tell people where they can get good value for what they like (this information will usually be available on the tasting notes).

 All of the wines would be covered in numbered jackets and the participants would be provided with a sheet of tasting notes (with your corporate branding) and be invited to identify the wines. I would give ad hoc ‘tuition' along the way and also include an aroma recognition test using ‘Nez Du Vin’ aroma phials which always provides great entertainment.

 This format is informal and will allow people to move around and mix.

 Provided on the night:

 ·         Hire/cleaning of professional ISO tasting glasses

·         Chilling equipment for serving wines at optimal temperature

·         Tasting notes, pens etc

·         Nez Du Vin Aroma recognition phials

·         Competition prizes of wine books and a bottle of Champagne (more than one at cost if you wish)

·         Dry biscuits for ‘palate cleansing’
