Rhone Valley Masterclass (Lytham)
Rhone Valley Masterclass - Did you know the French have been making wine in the Rhone Valley for over 2500 years? And that the area is the second largest quality wine producing region in France? We are hosting a Rhone Valley Masterclass to give you the opportunity to learn more about this region and taste some great new wines.
The presenter is Linda Field, a Certified WSET®Educator who now lives in the Rhone Valley where she runs the wine school, Auberge du Vin.
The evening will cover an overview of the different appellations of the Rhone Valley, from Cote Rotie in the north to the Luberon Valley in the south, and an explanation of the different styles of wine produced. You will taste at least six different wines, including a delicious white from St Peray (rarely seen in the UK), a rosé from the famous Tavel appellation and several different top red wines from the Cotes du Rhone which offer quality and value. Linda will share her findings about current winemaking practices, marketing and tourism and bring you right up to date with this dynamic and exciting wine region.
