8-week Introductory World of Wine Course (Lancaster)

The 8-week World Course is structured as a practical introduction to the world of wine. It is designed specifically for people who enjoy wine and would like to learn more about it. You do not need any previous experience, and the emphasis is on learning by tasting different varieties of wine. It is also a great way to meet new friends who share your love of wine. You will soon learn which wines you like and where to buy them.

Professional ISO tasting glasses and comprehensive tasting notes are all provided.

10 Oct - France I – including Burgundy and the Loire, plus how wine is made and the importance of blends

17 Oct - Chile & Argentina – plus the importance of climate and weather

24 Oct - France II – including Bordeaux and Rhone, plus understanding wine labels

31 Oct - Italy and Germany – the regions, plus food and wine matching

7 Nov - South Africa and USA – plus how to store wine and why

14 Nov - Spain and Portugal – plus new wines, supermarkets vs the independents

21 Nov - Champagne, sparkling and dessert wine – what is the difference, how is it made?
