World of Wine Italy & Germany (Preston)

Welcome to the Wonderful World of Wine tasting looking at Italy and Germany.  Italy is a nation that loves its food and accompanies it with many exciting wines. Some of the best are produced in the big three regions – Tuscany, Piedmont and Veneto. Barolo, Amarone and Chianti are amongst the famous wine names we’ll discover from these classic regions.  

Move north, to Germany, but forget the sweet, sugary output of the 1970s and investigate a well-guarded secret of amazing wines. Led by Riesling, the King of the white grapes, Germany now also produces fabulous dry and sweet Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir wines.
